The Black Hole of Ambiguity

Why?​ The work of a designer is an iterative process that requires constant re-designing and re-construction of narratives. Only by linking our work to the world around us, we are able to frame our work and the knowledge that is generated.

What? The board game allows design researchers to construct Research through Design narratives as landscapes. The game contains a Black Hole of Ambiguity, for researchers to express the inarticulable not-knowing. The board game also allows design researchers to materialize speculative thought; using the black hole they can build alternative endings, paths and branches.
